How to edit text in a PDF document step by step

PDF files are thought mainly for reading and not editing, but many times we find a PDF we'd like to edit. Is it possible to write on a PDF? It's not the simplest thing in the world, as you need to download special software in order to do edit a PDF file, but it's really not that hard. From oneHowto.com we'll tell you how to edit text on a pdf step-by-step.
The most simple method to write on a pdf is through the OpenOffice program (the open code and free equivalent to Microsoft Office), so if you don't have it, download it here and install it.
Once you've installed OpenOffice on your computer, download the Sun PDF Import extension (you can do so following this link) and save it.
Open OpenOffice Writer from: Start, All programmes, OpenOffice.
Open the tools menu, choose Extension Administrator and click on "Add".
A window will open from where you can choose the file: go to the place where you saved the extension and select. Click on "Open".
Accept the licence contract and click on Close. You have your extension ready to edit PDF files.
To write on a PDF, open the file from OpenOffice Writer (File > Open). You'll see you can now edit PDF files as if they were a .doc file.
