How to Use Two Instagram Accounts At Once

Last year Instagram introduced a fantastic update for those of you with several Instagram accounts. It allows you to use all of them at the same time without having to log out or use other apps. They made an important step to make it easier for community managers and common users who use more than one Instagram account on a daily basis. With only one click, you'll now be able to do so, as it's very easy to set up and start using it on both Android and iOS. OneHOWTO will show you how to use two Instagram accounts at once on iPhone and Android.

Before this new update, if you wanted to publish content on two or more Instagram profiles you needed to log out of your account and log in the second one, which was really annoying for many. Noticing this urge, apps like Instagram were born in order to allow users to manage more than one account simultaneously.

However, after a long waiting period, Instagram has moved forward to make our lives easier with an update that allows us to do this from the app itself without any further complications. Now, you can easily use two Instagram accounts at once on iPhone and Android.

To begin this procedure you should have the latest Instagram update. To make sure you do, go to Google Play Store or Apple Store on iOS and make sure you have the latest version. Once that's been checked, log in to any of your accounts and go to your profile page.

On your profile page, press on the three little buttons at the top right of your screen (on the screw icon on iOS) to find your "Options".

Once you are in the "Options" page, scroll down to find the "Add Account" option. This is the one that will allow you to use two Instagram accounts at once.

Remember that if you still don't have the latest update this option will not appear.

When you have selected "Add Account", the app will take you back to the log in screen in which you usually log in to Instagram. Here's where you should add the username and password of the second account you want to use.

Type the information and press on Log in.

Now you'll notice that when you log back in to Instagram you see your current profile picture instead of the usual gray picture at the bottom right of your screen. This image is used to show which of your accounts you are currently using.

To switch Instagram accounts you'll simply have to press on that image and go to your profile on the top left part of your screen. There you'll find a fold-up menu where both accounts will appear. You'll be able to change them freely without having to log out. Moreover, you'll be able to add as many accounts as you like.

As for push notifications, they will work for all accounts that have them enabled, according to Instagram. This depends on when you last logged in and the number of devices that are logged in with an account.

Should you need to log out of any account you've added to the app, simply pick it from the username menu, then head to the settings section.

There is a log-out option for the current account near the bottom of the list. To quickly see the number of notifications for each account you've added, go to your profile and touch the username at the top.

It's this simple! Now you know how to use two Instagram accounts at once on iPhone and Android. It's up to you to make the most of this great new update!
